IA - MN - WI MGMA Webinar: Tax Cuts & Jobs Act | Are you ready for 2018?

Join us for a Free Member webinar on Tuesday, April 24, 2018

Time: 12:00pm - 1:00pm Central

Session Description:

There are a number of changes the Internal Revenue Service will implement in 2018 as a result of new regulations.
The most significant being the Tax Cuts & Jobs Act, which is the largest federal tax overhaul in 31 years. This tax act
amends and repeals portions of the Internal Revenue Code to reduce tax rates and modify policies, credits and
deductions for businesses and individuals. In addition, many provisions of the bill are complex and will require
guidance from Congress or the IRS for clarification on the impact to 2018 taxes.

Please join us as we discuss the major changes that will impact businesses and individuals, covering items such as:

  • Corporate tax rate change
  • Bonus and Section 179 depreciation methods
  • Interest expense limitations
  • Entity structure (C-Corp vs S-Corp)
  • Meals & Entertainment changes

  • Individual rate changes
  • Standard deduction & personal exemptions
  • State and local taxes
  • Pass-through deduction
