Thank you for joining us at the Winter Conference!

For all those who were able to attend, we hope you had a great experience at the 2018 MMGMA Winter Conference. This year’s two general sessions brought insights into the subconscious mind of the healthcare consumer with Lou Carbone’s intriguing opening keynote on total experience management, along with an exemplified understanding of the forces that will shape healthcare in the next 10 years from James Hereford, President and CEO of Fairview – who also shared how innovation and adaptation will be critical to managing these changes successfully. New to 2018, the remaining sessions were breakout tracks which offered something for everyone. The conference agenda invited Human Resource managers to learn key lessons in discipline and handling terminations, as well as new information on the growing option of internships and healthcare management degree programs. The finance/revenue-minded had opportunities to attend sessions on trends in healthcare hiring and compensation, increasing awareness of fraud risks in the revenue cycle, and best practices for point of service collections and self-pay follow-up. A walk through of a real life attack from hackers, updates on modern cybercrime and system attack methods as well as how to mitigate risks offered Information Systems managers new information to take back to IT security. In another track session opportunity, healthcare marketers were brought up to date on trends in digital marketing. Our annual winter update on legislation with the Government Affairs Committee, Payer Relations Committee, and Messerli & Kramer topped off Tuesday’s Morning at the Capitol and afternoon sessions, while Wednesday ended the conference with a hilarious recap by improv group The Theater of Public Policy. Plenty of time between sessions, over meals, and during Tuesday’s reception allowed ample opportunity to meet and mingle with current colleagues and new contacts.

We would also like to extend a special thank you to all of this year’s Winter Conference Sponsors and Exhibitors! Find the complete list of those who helped support our event under the past event details here. If you were interested in connecting with a sponsor or exhibitor from the conference, you can search our business partners by name or company in the MMGMA online Business Partner Directory.

We would love to hear what you thought of this year’s line up as well as any other conference feedback you might have. If you attended, double check your inbox for the MMGMA email titled, “Thank You for Attending. We’d Love Your Feedback.” This email includes a link to a short survey, as well as links to the conference attendee list and presentations.
