Medicare Payment Reduction Delayed

On December 26, 2013, President Obama signed into law the Pathway for SGR Reform Act of 2013, the approved bipartisan budget deal that delays an almost 24% reduction in 2014 Medicare payments from January 1 to April 1. During this 3-month period, physicians will actually get a 0.5% rise in fee schedules and will allow time for Congress to further study this situation.
